About Our Movement

Welcome to Speak4OurChildren.

We are a survivor led initiative based in Ireland created for Mothers navigating hidden harm and systemic injustice within the Irish Family Law System.

Our mission is to bring visibility to lived realities that have been silenced for too long and to advocate for meaningful, survivor‑led reform.

Empowered Voices

We stand for truth and recognition, highlighting lived experience to influence policy and justice reform.

Community Support

Our work focuses on raising awareness, naming systemic failures, and amplifying survivor‑led perspectives that have been overlooked within the family‑law system. The door is open to allies, researchers, and professionals who stand in solidarity with this mission.

Our Mission

Empowering Voices. Inspiring Change.

Speak4OurChildren exists to build a survivor‑led movement where lived experience guides understanding and drives systemic change.
We recognise the power of naming lived realities — opening minds, challenging harmful assumptions, and shining a light on the injustices faced by mothers and children.
Through advocacy, awareness‑raising, and collaboration with those who stand in solidarity, we work to ensure that survivor‑led perspectives are acknowledged in shaping the systems that affect families.
Our work is rooted in integrity, truth, and hope — building connections between lived experience, research, and public awareness.
Together, we speak for truth, for justice, and for the children who deserve a safer future.

“Children living with coercive control are not passive witnesses; they are co-survivors. Their experiences are often ignored, distorted, or silenced by systems that fail to recognise the harm they endure. When family courts overlook children’s lived realities, they risk enabling further trauma. As I’ve shown in my research, children must be recognised as direct victims of coercive control and listened to with the seriousness their experiences deserve.”
